Lüdinghausen game "StadtLandBurg"

Who can get their goods to the castles the fastest?
StadtLandBurg - together with Lüdinghausen games experts Uli Rietmann, Florian Janich, Patricia Malcher and Martin Bromm, Lüdinghausen Marketing has launched a Lüdinghausen game on the market. The board game revolves around Lüdinghausen, its castles and a lively trade in goods. "We are delighted that the game has met with such a positive response," says Nadine Wenge, who is in charge of the project at Lüdinghausen Marketing.
At some point, Lüdinghausen Marketing came up with the idea of developing a game for Lüdinghausen, she explains. "We thought about how we could approach the topic. And it quickly became clear: we would get game experts on board. With Uli Rietmann, Martin Bromm, Patricia Malcher and Florian Janich, we really hit the mark."
It took the gaming team a year and a half to develop the game. After work. With snacks and drinks. And, above all, with a lot of fun. The aim of "StadtLandBurg" is to bring goods to the various castles in Lüdinghausen. At the beginning, each player draws a character to embody and a mission to fulfill. Many surprises and encounters await the players along the way. And in the end, the player who completes their mission the quickest wins.
Lots of laughter
"We laughed so much while playing," recalls the group of players. "Because there are funny events, because you steal goods from each other again. Oh, the game is just so much fun." And there are no dice at all. "Otherwise it's all about luck. And that's stupid," says Florian Janich. Instead, each player is dealt a set of playing cards with values from 1 to 10, which they use to make progress.
It was important to the team to develop a family game that both young and old could play. And as there are many large families in Lüdinghausen, the game can definitely be played by five people. Encounters are also important to the players, and these play a major role in the Lüdinghausen game.
Florian Janich created the graphics - based on a picture that Andreas Raub painted many years ago. Evelin and Patric Knust adorn the cover of the box. And a suitable name was also found. "It wasn't that easy," says Nadine Wenge.
"StadtLandBurg" is available from Lüdinghausen Marketing and many other places in the town. Price: 35 euros.
