City festival

Lüdinghausen is in a festive mood: Every weekend around the third Sunday in September, it’s time for the town festival. As always, the festivities kick off on Friday with the big town festival run, to which Union Lüdinghausen cordially invites you. The action begins at 2:30 p.m. with the Bambini and kindergarten races, followed by the Town Festival Run (a 10-kilometer open race) at 6:00 p.m.
Race numbers for the Bambini and kindergarten races are available in advance at Lüdinghausen Marketing and on the day of the event starting at 1:00 p.m. on Town Hall Square. For all other races, online registration is available at www.union08.de.
Various bands will perform on the market square in the evening, and there will be an “Over 29” party on Town Hall Square.
Family Day
The festivities continue on Saturday with Family Day: It kicks off at 10 a.m. with the children’s flea market, which winds its way through the entire downtown area. On offer: toys, clothing, sports and leisure gear, books, and much more. You’re sure to find a bargain or two there. A colorful family program begins at 11 a.m. on the Market Square stage.

Old Town Market, Sunday Shopping, Music
This Sunday starting at 11 a.m., Lüdinghausen invites you to the Old Town Market, a Sunday shopping event, and a lively program of activities. Starting at 11 a.m., the market square stage will feature a lively program with plenty of music.
At the Kulturcafé, starting at 11 a.m. on Rathausplatz, the Kolping Society will serve coffee and cake. There will be plenty of music here as well.
Starting at 11 a.m., the Old Town Market winds its way through the entire downtown area, and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., the stores will be open; Lüdinghausen merchants have a number of special offers in store for visitors. In addition, the flea market is open to everyone. Here, you’ll find everything from decorations and books to clothing.
