The chair of happiness

On the occasion of the redesigned Borg, which was inaugurated in 2013, artist Frantz Wittkamp created the "Chair for Happiness", a bronze sculpture. The well-known Lüdinghausen poet, author, illustrator and painter also joined the ranks of sculptors. The chair is adorned with the typical Wittkamp poems. The seat reads: "Happiness has come to visit, seen a beautiful chair and taken a seat on the spot. Now it sits there and doesn't want to leave".
On the back of the backrest: "The snail can't jump. The snail can't sing. It doesn't know how to speak English. But that's not why it's sad." There are more poems on other surfaces of the chair.
The snail is so wonderfully suited to Lüdinghausen because it is also the symbol of the cittaslow movement.
