Castle rickshaw

In September 2021, they made their first public appearance together with an appeal for donations: the association Bürger für Bürger e.V. Lüdinghausen and board member Amandus Petrausch. The plan was to purchase a rickshaw to give people with limited mobility a unique experience. Local supporters were quickly found: the family education center and the parish of St. Felizitas.

In spring 2022, Petrausch founded the volunteer group "BfB-Burgen-Rikscha", which has been taking care of all matters ever since. Thanks to the large amount of donations from the public and private sector, two e-rickshaws were ordered from VanRaam in the Netherlands. Rickshaw pilots were trained and beautiful routes were found in the Münsterland parkland.

Both rickshaws are suitable for different target groups. In the "Chat", guests can sit comfortably on the bench next to each other and chat. The "Velo Plus" is primarily reserved for people in wheelchairs.

If you would like to book a rickshaw ride or hire a rickshaw to drive yourself, you can book appointments via the Family Education Center or on the Citizens for Citizens website. If you book a rickshaw ride, you will be accompanied by an experienced driver. If you only want to hire the rickshaw, you will receive practical and theoretical instruction when you hire it.
