Borkenberge airfield

Borkenberge airfield is located in Lüdinghausen, in the Haltern and Dülmen city triangle, and is a popular destination for visitors from near and far. It is a commercial airfield and a state performance center for gliding in NRW. The air sports enthusiasts are made up of motor pilots, glider pilots and microlight pilots.

The airfield, which is managed on a voluntary basis, is home to nine air sports clubs with many active pilots. Model airplanes like to use the airfield after their flights. The spacious spectator area on the airfield offers plenty of space and opportunities to watch take-offs and landings as well as to talk to club members, pilots and flight instructors. An airfield café with terrace invites you to linger. The flight operations can be viewed from the open area. An ideal starting and finishing point for cyclists and hikers. A large parking lot is available.
