Hiking in Seppenrade

There are three different trails around Seppenrade that make for wonderful hikes. With a maximum route length of 12 kilometers and a maximum time frame of three hours at an average walking pace, the three hiking trails are suitable for anyone who enjoys walking.

The circular routes

A1: The first circular route in Seppenrade leads past fish ponds and wet meadows to the Ondrup farming community. After crossing the main road (B 474), you return to Seppenrade through the Leversumer Feldflur.

A2: Starting at Rosengarten, the route takes you through the village and adjacent fields to Seppenrader Schweiz. The descent leads to the Lippsches Holt nature reserve (NSG). The route then climbs towards Wolfsschlucht and from there back to Rosengarten.

A3: The route leads through fields and meadows via the B474 to the Tetekum farming community. Down and up towards Seppenrader Schweiz (nature reserve) and Gut Katenberg, again across the main road and along the edge of the village of Seppenrad to Wolfsschlucht.

The hiking map

There is a new hiking flyer for the tours, which is shown here. It is available at "Lüdinghaus", the Lüdinghausen Marketing office and tourist information office. The flyer is also available for download at the bottom of this page.
