When it gets dark in Lüdinghausen, the night watchman makes his way through the town with his guests. To ensure peace and order at night. Equipped with his badge, hand stick, horn and lantern, he tells stories about his life and that of the little people. He blasphemes against the authorities and watches for firelight in the narrow alleyways of his small farming town to warn the citizens with his horn.

The night watchman also has a lot to tell about St. Felicitas, the Hake house, bells and witches. And about why the ubiquitous Nepomuk is his friend. In short: he is happy to share his knowledge with his secretive guests because the council doesn't need to know anything about it.

The public night watchman tour always takes place on the second Friday of the month , meeting point Lüdinghaus. It starts at 8 pm. Guides: Michael Heß, Rudi Klopfer, Duration: approx. 2 hours

Cost: 12 euros, reduced 5 euros. Tickets are available at Lüdinghaus, Borg 4, during normal opening hours and directly from the guide on the respective dates.
