Guided tour "From castle to castle"

"From castle to castle" is the name of a city tour to which Lüdinghausen Marketing cordially invites you. The stars of the tour are Lüdinghausen Castle and Vischering Castle.

The tour starts at Lüdinghausen Castle. Here, the city guide will first tell you interesting facts about the eventful history of the Renaissance castle, which dates back to the 11th century. On the chapter trail between the castles, participants meet outstanding personalities who are connected with the history of Lüdinghausen. Among other things, they hear about the "man with the iron collar", a pope who was very unhappy about the Westphalian pumpernickel and a man who reformed Prussia.

The tour then continues to Vischering Castle, the most beautiful moated castle in Münsterland. The history of the castle's construction and that of the Münsterland nobility is brought to life during an outside tour. After the tour, participants will know what a "Bauhaus" is and why a brewery was particularly important in the past.
