In spring 2023, verses by Frantz Wittkamp, written by Simone Kleffmann, could be discovered in many shop windows in the city center. "Window Poetry" is the name of the campaign launched by City Manager Sabine Nitschke.

"I was on vacation in Wismar last summer and discovered a similar campaign with a local artist in the shop windows," explains Sabine Nitschke. When she told Frantz Wittkamp about the idea, he was immediately enthusiastic and already had suitable slogans ready.

Over 30 stores took part in the campaign. Sabine Nitschke had picked out the right slogan for each participant. The large window at Lüdinghaus reads: "You see beautiful things when you travel. You have to take breaks when traveling. And one of my best breaks was in Lüdinghausen." Or at the St. Felizitas library: "In some books there are mites that eat letters or syllables, so that in some places a whole . . ."
