Cinemotion offers a modern movie experience

Cinema fans can finally enjoy the first movies. Mayor Richard Borgmann is delighted with the developments on Konrad-Adenauer-Straße.

The time has finally come: the new cinema in Lüdinghausen has opened its doors to visitors. Film fans can watch the latest movies in the five modern auditoriums with comfortable seats. In addition to the comfortable armchairs and tasteful furnishings, the unique surround sound technology, Dolby Atmos, is particularly praised.

The people of Lüdinghausen have had to wait a long time for their own cinema. The opening had actually been planned for March, but had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Overall, however, the wait took much longer. "The project has dragged on for years and there have been many, many long discussions," says Mayor Richard Borgmann. "So I'm all the more pleased that cinema fans from Lüdinghausen and the region can finally watch the first films. The long wait has once again shown that it pays to be persistent!"

Christof Gläser, Managing Director of cinema operator K-Motion, agrees. He draws a positive conclusion after the first few weeks - despite the ongoing restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic. "Lüdinghausen was missing a cinema," he says confidently. "We are getting a lot of encouragement from all sides and at the same time we want to do everything we can to improve little things in order to satisfy visitors all round." The cinema in Lüdinghausen has been equipped with excellent picture and sound quality. "It's the best you can get on the market at the moment," says Gläser. "We wanted visitors to not only have the feeling that they are watching a movie, but that they are getting a real cinema experience in Lüdinghausen."

It is already clear that Cinemotion will be a magnet for visitors to Lüdinghausen. "The cinema will ensure an enormous increase in visitor numbers," says Borgmann. The sports hall for school, club and competitive sports will also attract visitors from the region. "This will also revitalize our city centre even further," says the Lüdinghausen mayor happily. "Konrad-Adenauer-Straße has developed enormously and has become an area where the people of Lüdinghausen like to shop, stroll and linger. It radiates enormously into the old town and thus also fertilizes it. The redevelopment and redesign of Wilhelmstrasse will create an excellent urban link between the two areas and guide visitors to the leisure facilities into our old town, where they will also find plenty of places to shop and enjoy themselves. Between Vischering Castle, Lüdinghausen Castle and Konrad-Adenauer-Strasse, a promenade has been created that not only delights us Lüdinghausers and Seppenraders, but also many visitors from outside."
